Extended Lecture: “Boris Klyushnikov – Introduction to the Philosophy of Alain Badiou” by the BKB Group
The lecture will last 1 hour and 45 minutes. At the end, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a critical discussion of the presented material, with a key focus on applying the theoretical concepts developed by the French philosopher.
Alain Badiou is an honorary professor at the University of Paris VIII and a professor of philosophy at the European Graduate School. Alongside Slavoj Žižek, he is one of the most significant post-secular philosophers and a critic of Gilles Deleuze’s philosophy. His philosophical framework is rooted in set theory and Marxism.
Boris Klyushnikov is a theorist of contemporary art, a lecturer at the Department of Cinema and Contemporary Art at RSUH (Russian State University for the Humanities), and an instructor at the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia, the British Higher School of Art & Design, and the Baza Institute. He is the author of numerous articles on art philosophy, critical essays, and lecture courses on contemporary art theory.
The BKB Group was founded in early 2019. The collective specializes in reenactments of artistic works and performance staging. In their projects, the group applies and experiments with various teamwork methodologies.
